FAQs ~ Frequently Asked Questions

Please see our FAQs below to ensure your Cranberry Bog Tour is just what you are looking for!  Please contact us if you have questions outside of the list below. Visit our Tour Description page for what to expect on a tour!

Do I need reservations?

Yes!  The tours book up fast and are by reservation only!  Please call (508) 432-0790 to reserve your spot in a tour.  Check our daily operating hours here.

What will I see on the tour?

Daily tours offer a comprehensive walk through a year in the life of our cranberry farm. We have a page dedicated to our Tour Description with a full rundown of what to expect, and what NOT to expect!

Can I reserve a spot on a tour via email?

No. Tours can only be reserved via telephone as we do not answer emails on demand or quickly enough for tour spots. Please call to reserve your spot. We will answer or get back to you promptly via telephone.

Do tours leave on time?

Yes!  The tours are heavily booked and do not wait for late arrivals.  Please be on time or early to ensure you make your reserved tour time.

Is the tour rain or shine?

Daily booked tours happen RAIN OR SHINE-if you do not want to get wet during a tour in rainy weather, please call & cancel your ressrvation.

How long does the tour last?
The tour leaves exactly on time and lasts 1.5 hours.  Please be on time to ensure you make your reserved trip.
Is the tour appropriate for kids?

The Daily Tours ARE NOT appropriate for kids unless they are older school aged/old enough to be interested in the material.  We encourage you to book a private or School tour to include children on your visit as those are different than daily tours. The Daily tour is very informational and while there are various animals around the farm, the tour is focused on the harvesting and daily operation of a cranberry bog and is not a petting zoo.

How do we book a tour that can include kids?

We encourage local schools/home schools to book a tour specifically geared toward kids. We have a lot of school tours throughout the season and they are for children/school aged kids. Please call us to book a tour for your school/homeschool group.

2025 Construction Update

During the 2025 season Andrea and I have decided to rebuild sections of the field, when you attend the tour some sections will be under construction and rebuild process. Please pardon our appearance as relates to piles off sand and dirt, machines, and related construction activities. Please know this will not impact the tour itself, in fact we will incorporate what is going on and add the rebuilding process to our tour discription.

Are there loose animals (including dogs) on the farm?

Yes. This is an active cranberry farm and we have live animals and working dogs throughout. It is NOT a petting zoo. The animals are there to work. No outside dogs allowed (see related FAQ).

Are dogs allowed on the tour/on the farm?

Dogs are NOT allowed on the daily tours or on the premises with the only exception being certified Sight/Hearing Service Dogs ONLY (must bring current certificate proof). This is an active farm with unleashed, working dogs and animals on site. There are no other dogs or animals allowed. If you have questions, please ask when booking your tour.

Will there be cranberries floating on the bog?
No.  Cranberries only float during harvest time/harvesting purposes and only float during that time for about 24 hours.
Can we put on waders & go into the bog?

Absolutely not. This is a live, active farm and no one is allowed to enter the bogs. There are also no cranberries floating (see related FAQ) as this is not harvest season.

Are tours handicap accessible?
We do our absolute best to make our tours as accessible as possible.  Please let us know when you make your reservation what type of accommodations you will need and we will do our very best to ensure you can enjoy all aspects of the tour.
Are there public restrooms?

There are port-a-potties on location including one that is handicap accessible.

Is the farm stand open daily?

The farm stand is open during published tour times or by appointment.  We are happy to schedule a time for you to shop outside of tour hours.  Please call to schedule.
